Utica, NY - Utica Jr. Comet Jude Cole has committed to play college hockey Arcadia University. Cole, the Captain of the USPHL Premier team, scored 21 goals and notched 21 assists in 43 games.

Cole spoke very highly of both the Jr. Comets organization and his future college.

“After being able to visit Arcadia a few weeks ago it definitely helped the decision process. They have great academics and a beautiful campus which helped peak my interest, but being able to directly meet with their coaching staff and some players on the team really helps me get a feel for what it’s like to be on the team and I loved the culture Coach Vincent and the players have created for the program.

Utica has been great to me the past two seasons, the people they have in their program really helped all throughout my college decision process and the players I’ve had the pleasure of skating with these past two years all were part of the reason Utica felt like home for me.  Coach Pagliacci, Coach Educate and Coach Lynch all were fantastic in not just making me a better hockey player but a better person all around.  Being Captain of the team this year was was a big honor for me and I think showed the trust the coaching staff had in me to lead the team . These past two this seasons were some of the most fun I’ve ever had playing hockey. And of course I’d like to thank my parents, for none of this is possible without them, to my friends and teammates and coaches, you guys shaped the player I am today.”

Head Coach Nick Pagliacci had a ringing endorsement of Cole's progress and future as a player.

“I couldn’t be happier for Jude. After speaking with Coach Caroll at Arcadia and hearing how they’re looking to bring in guys who can help with the culture they’re building I knew Jude would be the perfect fit. Aside from being a great hockey player, Jude is a person you want representing your university. I’m excited to follow Jude’s collegiate career.”
