UTICA JR COMETS WELCOME NEW 2007 HEAD COACH
The Utica Jr. Comets are excited to announce the addition of Vincent Stefan as the head coach of the 2007 AAA team. Stefan brings a wealth of hockey knowledge and experience to the organization and will be yet another non-parent coach in the organization.
Stefan begins his coaching career after graduating from Utica College in 2018, where he finished a four-year collegiate career. His senior year he served as an assistant captain of the Pioneers, leading his team to a championship in the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC). Before playing Division 3 hockey for the Pioneers, Stefan played 3 seasons of Juniors for Kanai River (Soldotna, AK) in the North American Hockey League.
Stefen, originally from Pittsburgh, grew up playing youth hockey for the Jr. Penguins before moving to Michigan where he played for Little Caesars and Motor City.
Vincent is looking forward to tryouts next week and beginning work with our young hockey players. He hopes to help them push themselves to the next level.
“Second year PeeWee is a big year for these young players. Tier 1 hockey is extremely competitive and I’m excited to get started and work on developing each and every kid” Stefan said. “I look forward to teaching these players lessons I have learned in my hockey career and to help them go as far as they possibly can.”
Utica Jr. Comets Tier 1 AAA tryouts take place next week on March 26 and 28 at the Adirondack Bank Center. CLICK HERE to register for 2007 Team tryouts.
