UTICA JR. COMETS ANNOUNCE SYRACUSE BASED 16U AAA TEAM

Utica, NY- The Utica Jr. Comets welcome an all non-parent coaching staff to lead the 16U AAA team.           

The team will be an elite high school friendly team made up of the best 16U players in the Utica and Syracuse area. The team will be a national tournament bound team that will play a competitive schedule made up of qualifying games and USPHL games. Players who make the team can look forward to a soft-split season that will consist of USPHL league showcases on top of a 50-55 game regular season. The team will compete in the USPHL 16U division along with their New York State qualifying games. The team will be focused on growth and development on and off the ice while giving players exposure to an elite level of hockey. The team will add on off-ice workouts to help with strength and conditioning.           

The coaching staff will be made up of non-parents that have a variety of AAA, Junior, and college experience. Head coach Josh Pinard and his staff understands what it takes to make the jump to the higher levels of hockey. Pinard is entering his sixth season as a coach and experience 14U, 15U, 16U, & 18U levels. Pinard is looking forward to helping his team succeed on and off the ice.

Tryouts for the 16U AAA team will be held on May 5, 7:30 P.M.-8:20 at Skaneateles YMCA and May 6, 7:00 P.M.-8:50 P.M. at the Adirondack Bank Center. Anyone interested in trying out should register now here.
