MADISON LAWRENCE COMMITS TO UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE

UTICA, NY - In front of a packed Utica National Community Room of friends, family, teammates, and coaches, Madison Lawrence officially solidified her commitment to the University of New Hampshire to play at the NCAA Division 1 level. Maddy is a defenseman for the Utica Jr. Comets 18U AAA team (THF 18U).

Josh Pinard, head coach of the 18U AAA team, was overjoyed for Maddy. "Today was a wonderful day. Seeing Maddy's development and growth throughout the past year and a half has been amazing— and to see it come to this today where she's signing with the University of New Hampshire is incredible. I know I'm proud of her, I know her teammates are proud of her, coaching staff and family is too." 

Madison was all smiles afterwards. "Very happy about the commitment! It's like a dream come true. I verbally committed in 8th grade and it's been a long, long time waiting to sign that paper and it definitely feels so surreal now. I finally feel like I've achieved what I've set out for... I love this organization. I played here when they just had the (Adirondack Bank Center at the Memorial) Auditorium and they were blue and green with Robert Esche and (Patrice) Robitaille as coaches. Coming back here just makes it ten times better to be back home and get this signed!"
