LUKE FRENCH COMMITS TO BETHEL UNIVERSITY
Utica, N.Y. – Utica Junior Comets prospect Luke French has committed to Bethel University. French has spent the last two seasons with the NCDC Jr. Comets. This year he has played 33 games, contributing 5 goals and 11 assists.
“I couldn’t be more excited about going to Bethel,” French said. “From my first conversation with Coach McKelvie and Coach Gibbons, I knew there was something special about their program and university. During my visit to see everything they have to offer, Bethel felt like home and somewhere I was wanted and wanted to be for the next chapter of my life.”
Luke has been a great player for this team the last two seasons," Head Coach Louis Educate said. "He also has been a great leader for us this season especially for or younger Defenseman. He's a two-way defenseman who has really come into his own offensively this season earning a player of the month award earlier this season. Luke's leadership qualities and on ice abilities will make him a great asset for Bethel University."
“Coming into my second season here in Utica, I knew there would be lots of changes within the program,” French continued. “With new coaching and lots of new faces, from the first day, I knew the culture was changing for the better for one exciting season and seasons to come. The changes I imagined have come true as we are having a much improved season compared to last year, and there is always excitement coming to the rink each day to work on our team goals.”
Bethel University is in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The University enrolls 5,600 students.
