KNICLEY, KALINOWSKI EARN PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
The United States Premier Hockey League announced today that Utica Jr. Comets forward Tyler Knicley and defenseman Josh Kalinowski earned Player of the Week honors for the week ending November 12 in the USPHL Premier North Region.
Knicley (‘99/Fairport, N.Y.) joined the Premier Comets in mid-October, and has gotten his November off to a flying start. He had six goals and four assists for 10 points through three games between Nov. 7 and 10 against the Rochester Monarchs and Buffalo Thunder.
The big performance was a hat trick plus two assists on Nov. 9 vs. the Thunder. He now has 18 points through eight Premier games.
Kalinowski (‘00/Buffalo, N.Y.), a former member of the Niagara Falls Thunder - now the Buffalo Thunder - has blasted past his six-point total from 2018-19, standing at 17 through 17 games. His most recent five points came in the three games between Nov. 7 and 10. This included three points against his former team in a pair of wins, giving up five goals in those two contests.
