DENNIS-MITCHELL FLOCCARE COMMITS TO SKIDMORE COLLEGE
UTICA, NY - Dennis-Mitchell "Mitch" Floccare, assistant captain of the NCDC Jr. Comets team, has committed to Skidmore College (NCAA DIII) to play college hockey. Floccare played two seasons at the NCDC level, tallying 14 goals and 29 assists over 73 games played.
Floccare said the following about continuing his hockey career in the Capital District:
I loved my time in Utica. It gave me every opportunity to improve as a player and a person and that is all you can ask for in an organization. I am beyond excited to be going to Skidmore College next year. It was a hard opportunity to pass up. The education and hockey combination is important to me. Saratoga Springs is second to none, it is a place I can really see myself for the near future. I believe that I will be able to step into the team and contribute right away. I bring an offensive minded mindset to the team. I like to facilitate goals as much as I enjoy preventing them. I just want to thank my Mom and Dad, as well as the rest of my family, for the countless sacrifices they made to put me in the position I am in today.”
From Head Coach Louis Educate:
Mitch had a great season for us as an offensive defenseman. Another player coming off a tough season ending injury the year before. Mitch was eager to get back into the lineup and be a big time player for us. Clipping the double digit goal mark as a D is always a great achievement. He contributed from the offensive blue line all year. Mitch has a great lower half that gives him the ability to jump in the play and join the rush adding another layer of offense. Skidmore is getting a great leader as well. Mitch will be putting in the work necessary all summer to be prepared.
