Whitesboro Native Commits to SUNY Morrisville

Junior Comet Andrew Manley has committed to play college hockey at SUNY Morrisville. The Whitesboro native has racked up 39 points in 42 games with the Junior Comets this year.

"Andrew's game has come a very long way this season," said Premier Head Coach Shawn Lynch. "As a returner, he was challenged to step into a much larger role, which he accepted and has made the most of. It’s been awesome to see him produce at the rate he has throughout this season. Being a near point per game player as a defensemen is a tremendous accomplishment and just goes to show how hard he works on a daily basis."

"I am very excited to commit to play college hockey at SUNY Morrisville this upcoming year," Manley reacted. "I am very thankful for the opportunity to continue playing hockey. I chose Morrisville because I really loved the coaching staff and the campus with it being not too far from home. They give the opportunity to grow as a person and as a player. I have learned so much from Coach Lynch and Coach Educate throughout the past two years. I had an unbelievable time with the Utica Junior Comets and I thank both coaches for helping me develop into a college hockey player. I have wanted to play college hockey ever since I was little and I want to thank my family and friends for supporting me."

Lynch continued, "Andrew's leadership abilities along with his work ethic and competitiveness will allow him to make the transition to the Division III level. He loves the game and I couldn’t be prouder to see him commit to play college hockey. He’s going to add so much to the Morrisville lineup and locker room and I cannot wait to follow him. He’s everything you want in a player and person and deserves this great opportunity."
